Orangeburg County First Steps’ efforts to improve early education opportunities for young children in South Carolina include:

4-year-old Kindergarten (4K)– First Steps works to add half-day and full-day public and private 4K classes and expand 4K child development half-day programs to full-day programs

Parents As Teachers - This program work’s to provide both the parent and
child the skills needed to foster positive learning tools and habits as well
as educating the parent on good parenting practices, social, emotional and
developmental milestones.
